The Spirit Loft mindfulness meditation group is an open and inclusive community of individuals welcoming to all who wish to join with us in cultivation of the shared value of living a mindful and compassionate life.

Join us weekly for highly accessible mindfulness meditation instruction and group practice followed by a short talk and discussion. No meditation experience is necessary.

We explore the teachings and practices of mindfulness, meditation and the Buddha dharma (teachings for awakening) as a sort of technology to cultivate greater concentration, clarity, equanimity and compassion into our modern urban lives.

Our meditation group is led by studio co-director and teacher Andre Talbot, a dharma student under the guidance of Dharma Teacher (Poep Sa) Frank Jude Boccio.

We are an independent, unaffiliated, nonsectarian sangha (community) exploring an approach to mindfulness meditation that is firmly rooted in a naturalistic, scientific, rational and empirical understanding. This is an approach that we call “zen naturalism”. All are welcome!
